Back in 2005 fresh, healthy food-to-go was hard to come by. Inspired by the fast, fresh food offerings emerging in other parts of the world like the speedy ‘made-to-order’ delis of Manhattan, pod was created as a place where delicious, nutritious, innovative and freshly prepared food could be served fast to those looking for something a little different for breakfast or lunch….

The timing was good…consumers in general were becoming more aware of their eating habits so we worked hard to establish bright, spirited, seasonal menus filled with dishes that were big on taste and rich in health benefits.

In October 2005, our very first pod shop opened on London Wall. At its heart was a fully-working kitchen packed with fast-moving foodies creating fresh salads and nutritious, hot and healthy breakfasts and lunches. This offering was to become central to the pod experience. The thrill of seeing the queues develop as city workers clamoured for our innovative, fresh recipes was evidence enough that we should persevere…
In 2006 the launch of our freshly-cooked, wholegrain porridge made national news, and since then we’ve continued to bring our customers new and exciting food choices through our much-loved signature scrambled eggs, salads, hot pods, energy pods, blitzes and so much more…




To this day we've kept our focus on ensuring our dishes include genuine benefits for your body, mind and soul. Clearly this is something that has chimed with busy, hungry Londoners as today we have 23 pod shops employing just under 300 people, serving tens of thousands of customers every week and delivering direct to offices and events across London.

It's been a delicious, fresh, nutritious foodie adventure and the journey continues....
